4/20/2023 0 Comments Pragmata gameplayThe final part of the trailer sees the characters landing on what appears to be the moon, staring into the distance at Earth, referring to it as “our freedom. As they are sucked further up and launched out of the artificial dome they’re in, we get a close up of the girl's face that highlights her robotic eyes. Out of the blue, our unnamed characters are sucked up into the sky, and the spaceman uses a large net to stop the satellite colliding with them. Eventually, some weird corrupting force begins to warp a nearby building, then suddenly a space satellite comes crashing through what appears to be an artificial roof of glass. The game will take full advantage of next-generation platform features, and as a completely new IP for Capcom, the company aims to establish Pragmata as one of its core brands. They’re walking through a large city, reminiscent of New York, that appears to be abandoned, with cars littered about the streets. Game details Pragmata is an all-new action adventure title that depicts a near-future dystopian world on the moon through a deeply profound story and setting. The trailer begins showing us a spaceman, a little girl, and a robot cat that projects the holographic shell of a real feline over its body. It’s fairly cryptic and confusing, and looks straight out of the bizzare mind of Hideo Kojima at times, but there is still some information that can be gathered from the strange spectacle. So far we’ve only had the one trailer for Pragmata, back in Sony’s Future of Gaming show in 2020. We'll be sure to let you know if any new information is revealed though. Now that could still happen because 2021 isn't over yet, but it seems unlikely at this point, and like the Pragmata release date, the release of more information may have also been pushed back. We were supposed to also get more information on Pragmata this year, according to the original Tweets from the game’s official account during its reveal. This does make sense considering the immense effects the pandemic has had on developers across the industry, and Pragmata was initially announced just before the pandemic went in full swing. The official Capcom channels, like the game’s Twitter, still list it as coming sometime in 2022, but according to a PlayStation trailer at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year, it’s set to come in 2023 now instead. So the Pragmata release date is a weird one. □ Launch is set for 2022 we’ll have more info to share in 2021. Missing such perfect opportunities to discuss the game might make some fans believe that the game isn't nearly as far along in development as fans hoped.#PRAGMATA will take you on an unforgettable adventure set in a dystopian near-future rendition of the Moon. One wonders, then, just how long Capcom will take to say something new about Pragmata. Similarly, there was no word of Pragmata at Gamescom. Capcom had its own conference at E3 2021, but it surprisingly skipped a ton of its biggest properties, including the anticipated Pragmata. Pragmata news didn't come out swiftly after its announcement, but Capcom fans at least expected that the studio would say something about the game at a 2021 game conference. Pragmata may not have been the core of Sony's conference, but its aesthetic and premise looked compelling enough that it became a talking point after the show. All that fans truly know is that it involves a near-future dystopia and the Moon. Even in the context of the PS5, Pragmata turned heads with its cryptic trailer, which revealed extremely few details about Pragmata's plot or gameplay. It was announced at Sony's PS5 reveal conference alongside Resident Evil: Village. Pragmata's life as a Capcom IP started off in a pretty high-profile way.
