![]() Repair are sold at blacksmiths and integrated into the proper leveled lists to make maintaining your equipment easier. Your weapons simply degrade, they will not break with use. Taking hits from a NPC power attacking with a War Hammer will do much more temper damage than an enemy hitting you with a bow. The amount weapons and armor degrade is based on their weapon type / armor type (not material), whether you're power attacking / being power attacked, and your skill in the related skill or skills. ![]() Currently the only way provided to temper equipment is on items that are equipped, but I am looking into hacks to provide this effect to items in chests in the future. This makes fighting those enemies much more rewarding. However, you will occasionally see some very high temper level items drop from high level enemies. This is done in a way that doesn't render leveling Smithing completely useless. The level that blacksmith's can temper to is based on your level, but scales slowly enough so that Smithing is not rendered irrelevant.Įquipment that NPCs equip has a chance to be tempered. The price of tempering is affected by the standard things that affect price and is based off of the weapon's base cost. Talk to a blacksmith to temper or repair your equipped weapons and armor. + Blacksmiths offer tempering and repair services If you have esl files or esp files flagged as esl files, you will need to use the latest version of skse (2.0.15) with this release. There were a couple bugs with the lightmod functions in earlier versions of skse. This update improves the enchantment detection algorithm, implements caches to prevent rescanning large mods and addresses a few outstanding bugs. You will need to make a clean save to update to this version. Since the caches are merely a convenience I'm disabling them until I do more testing (I've done a ton but of course a bug shows up on my own play through after 20+ tests of the cache system). I ran into a bug on my own play through where the caches were not restoring the full number of enchantments in my mod list. This version simply disables the cache system.
